A Blockbuster store in Chester has confirmed that its doors will be staying open, for now.

The DVD and game rental store joined the list of casualties from to recession when it officially went into administration on October, 29.

It has been confirmed that 72 out of 264 stores will be closing resulting in a loss of 452 jobs.
The Chester branch of the chain has stated that, for now, business will continue as usual. A spokesman for the store said: "The shop is up for sale but we are remaining open for now."

This is the second time in as many years that the store has faced problems after filing for bankruptcy in August 2010.
